Sanity is reported to start at 100. Letting an anomaly inside drops it. At 0 the night ends in the failure ending. Separate guides also say a wrong refusal costs Sanity, so both mistakes matter. The Goblin Stalker is the exception that does not drain Sanity when it jumpscares you in the house.
Lobby items are bought with coins from finished runs. Prices below are the July 2026 shop report. They are not a live price list.
Sanity restores
| Item | Coins | Sanity | Coins per Sanity point |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bone | 100 | 10 | 10 |
| Rubber Duck | 350 | 20 | 17.5 |
| Wooden Doll | 700 | 35 | 20 |
| Horse Statue | 1450 | 90 | about 16.1 |
On those numbers the Bone is the cheapest Sanity point and the Horse Statue is the largest single restore. A bigger pool does not make a bad door call free.
Anomaly Detection
| Item | Coins | Detection | Coins per point |
|---|---|---|---|
| Candle | 90 | 1 | 90 |
| Flashlight | 350 | 2 | 175 |
| Camera | 1500 | 3 | 500 |
Guides describe these as detection aids, not as Sanity. They do not publish what one detection point changes on screen. The Candle is the cheap option in that table. Do not buy the Camera item expecting a known percentage.
Labels without a measured effect
- Crystal: 750 coins, +2 Time Travel. Sources only call time travel an emergency tool.
- Cola: 100 coins, +1 Bonus.
- Moonshine: 375 coins, +1 Bonus.
- Cookie: 725 coins, +2 Bonus.
- Donut: 1475 coins, +3 Bonus.
Bonus is printed as a shop label. The guides do not say what the points do. Do not spend the Donut price for an effect you have not seen in the current lobby.
The experience description also says you can troll friends with jump-scare items. That line does not name the items or their prices. The Fast Night gamepass was boosted in Update 5. Its price is not in the captured notes.
